There is a lot of pressure on Ajay Piramal to exit the Tata Sons board as director. As per the Mumbai grapevine, relations between the Ambanis and Ratan Tata have soured after Reliance acquired the Sterling and Wilson stake from the financially beleaguered Shapoorji Mistry family.
Piramal is a close relative of Ambani and also competes with Tata in the financial services and real estate businesses.
