A little-known company based in the Seychelles, called Seclink Technologies, has moved the Bombay High Court against the award of the Dharavi redevelopment project to the Adani group.
The company, with unknown promoters, has claimed that the Maharashtra government cancelled the first tender which was awarded to it. The government came out with a second tender which was won by the Adani group. Maharashtra government officials say Seclink has zero experience in doing such a large project anywhere in the world, adding that it would be dangerous to award such a project to a company without even an India office.
The unknown company has hired some of India’s most expensive lawyers to argue its case. The Bombay High Court will hear the petition soon. Will this case derail Adani plans? We’ll keep you posted.
