Jalandhar (Punjab)-headquartered Healthfarm Nutrition, India’s leading provider of bodybuilding and sports nutritional supplements, organic herbs, multi-vitamins, performance clothing and accessories, has laid the foundation for a new factory spread over an area of 5 acres of land in Jalandhar.
The factory will initially cost around Rs 100 million and is expected to go on stream by April 2024. “But subsequently, with the addition of machinery and introduction of newer technologies, the cost can go up to Rs 250 million”, maintains Anil Bhaskar, Chairman and Managing Director of the company, and the architect of the Healthfarm group.
Says Mr Bhaskar with pride on his face and a glint in his eye, “Our company takes immense pride in embarking on a new journey by establishing a state-of-the-art factory. This significant step reflects our commitment to expanding our presence and enhancing our manufacturing capabilities. The new factory will not only contribute to the local economy but will also create job opportunities for the community in and around Jalandhar.”
The Healthfarm group, promoted by visionary first- generation entrepreneur Anil Bhaskar, is a leading bodybuilding and sports nutrition entity with an all-you-can-think of range of nutritional supplements, organic herbs, Ayurvedic drugs, etc. The group aims at producing for a spectrum of supplements, including protein powders, mass gainers, weight gainers, multivitamins, organic syrups, energy drinks, fat burners, meal supplements and immunity builders for athletes, bodybuilders or active people.
During the last one decade, Healthfarm has emerged as the topmost sports nutrition brand in India. While laying the foundation for the new factory, Mr Bhaskar reveals, “Besides producing our regular existing products in the new factory, we will introduce a new Ayurvedic product range. We envision a future where holistic wellbeing is accessible to all. Our goal is to develop innovative solutions rooted in our ancient Ayurvedic wisdom. We strive to expand our product line, offering comprehensive solutions for various health concerns.”

The company is steadily growing in its financial performance also. During the last three years, its sales turnover has expanded from Rs 80.83 crore in fiscal 2020-21 to Rs 124.89 crore in fiscal 2022-23, with profit at the net level inching up from Rs 5.39 crore to Rs 7.80 crore during this period. The establishment of a modern state-of-the-art factory marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey. Besides, it will push up the group’s turnover to Rs 250 crore with a corresponding improvement in earnings during fiscal 2024-25.
