Ties up with Avalon Bioenergy for sustainable moringa processing

Ajooni Biotech Ltd., a leader in livestock health and dairy farming innovation in India, has partnered with Avalon Bioenergy, a subsidiary of the US-based Avalon Energy Group. This collaboration focuses on the sustainable processing of moringa seeds and leaves, leading to the establishment of processing plants for oil extraction and animal feed production. Avalon will handle oil extraction and marketing, while Ajooni will utilize the oil cake to manufacture animal feed products for domestic and international distribution.

Avalon Bioenergy is renowned for its clean energy biorefineries, producing biodiesel, glycerin, and sustainable aviation fuel. Their partnership with Ajooni extends to the acquisition of arable land for moringa cultivation across India. Ajooni is also exploring similar collaborations with Avalon in the US, Africa, and Latin America. Avlon has recently secured a long-term purchase and sales contract with Novvi LLC, an oleo chemical company by Chevron USA Inc., a major global oil and gas corporation.

Ajooni recently acquired 7,05,000 square yards of land for moringa cultivation, projecting an additional Rs 150- 200 crore in annual revenue in financial year 2025-26 with projected profit margin of 30-40%. The company integrates moringa into their cattle feed formulations to enhance the nutritional value of animal feed, aiming to improve livestock health and productivity while contributing to global warming reduction. Ajooni oversees the entire moringa cultivation process, ensuring stringent quality control and cost management.

Moringa is regarded as a miraculous tree due to the utilization of every part of it. Moringa is valued for its rich nutritional profile, medicinal properties, and therapeutic potential. Its inclusion in livestock feed enhances animal health and productivity, benefiting dairy farmers. Ajooni Biotech, a Research & Development focused company, offers a diverse portfolio of animal feed products, including Quality Cattle Feed, Cattle Feed Chips, Camel Feed, Cotton Oil Cake, Mustard Oil Cake, and various feed supplements. Their efforts to uplift dairy farmers aim at sustainably increasing milk yield and improving livestock well-being.

The company plans to establish a new plant with an investment of Rs. 16.50 crore in Khanna, Punjab, adjacent to their existing plant. This new unit will benefit from various government incentives, including interest subvention, capital subsidy, and GST and stamp duty reimbursements. In FY 2025-26, Company expects its turnover to increase to around Rs. 350-410 crore and expects it to increase further to Rs. 450- 495 crore in FY 2026-27 with overall PAT Margin of 22- 25%

On 17 May 2024, company has signed an MOU with Unati Agri Allied & Marketing Multi state Cooperative Society Limited (UAMMCL). This partnership aims to enhance PURE VEG. Cattle feed business through forward and backward integration, encompassing Raw Material Supply, Warehousing, Storage, Consumer Connectivity & Research and Development within the operational area. UAMMCL is supported by Department of Biotechnology (Government of India) & Punjab State Council for Science & Technology.
