India Ranks Third in Global Start-Up Ecosystem, Emphasizes on Sustainable Growth and Heritage Preservation

Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur recently announced that India has now become a hub for the start-up ecosystem and is ranked third in the world with 90,000 start-ups and 107 unicorn companies worth $30 billion. He made this announcement during the 36th Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival at the Jammu University, where more than 1,000 participants from 18 universities across India participated in the week-long event.

India's Youth - The Contributors to the Start-Up Ecosystem

The Minister attributed the success of India's start-up ecosystem to the country's young generation. He mentioned that India is now the biggest exporter of vaccines, mobile phones, and defence equipment, making the world take notice of New India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

Investing in Sustainable Growth

The Minister emphasized the need for sustainable investment to drive the growth of the green economy, leading to green jobs. He stated that India is moving towards becoming the global hub for green hydrogen production and aims to produce 5 million metric tons, which is 10% of the world's production, in the next five years. This initiative will require an investment of Rs 8 lakh crore and is expected to create thousands of green jobs for the country's youth.

Preserving India's Culture and Tradition

The Minister praised the youth of India for their performances during the festival and acknowledged their responsibility to preserve the country's rich culture, art, and tradition. He noted that India has a great history, and the youth of India have a crucial role to play in preserving this heritage for future generations.

India's thriving start-up ecosystem and the efforts towards sustainable growth and preserving the country's rich heritage reflect the country's progress and the potential of its youth. India is certainly a force to be reckoned with and is poised for a bright future.
