According to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), these festivals generated an estimated Rs 50,000 crore in trade, creating vast employment opportunities for artisans, craftsmen, and various workers.

India’s festive season has had a profound economic impact, particularly over the last ten days of Durga Puja, Navratri, and Ramleela celebrations. The demand for pandal construction, idol-making, decorations, and food services surged, benefitting thousands of workers. Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary General of CAIT, highlighted the extensive business and employment opportunities that emerged across multiple sectors due to these events.

Boost for Artisans and Skilled Workers
