Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services provider, is gearing up to announce its financial results for the second quarter (July-September) of the fiscal year 2024. The company has scheduled the release of its Q2 results on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Alongside the financial results, the board of directors will also consider the declaration of a second interim dividend for its equity shareholders.
In its filing to the stock exchanges, TCS mentioned that the board will review and approve the audited standalone financial results in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). This will include the company's performance for both the quarter and the six-month period ending on September 30, 2024. In addition, the board will take into account the consolidated financial results of TCS and its subsidiaries, providing a comprehensive view of the company’s global operations.
If the second interim dividend is approved during the board meeting, it will be distributed to shareholders whose names appear on the company’s register or as beneficial owners in depositories' records by the record date of Friday, October 18, 2024. Shareholders can expect to receive the dividend payout by this date.
On Monday, September 30, 2024, TCS shares closed at Rs 4,271, reflecting a 0.87% decline from the previous trading session. The stock has seen a 52-week high of Rs 4,592.25 and a low of Rs 3,311, showcasing its resilience in the market.
With the Q2 results and potential second interim dividend on the horizon, TCS is set to offer valuable updates to its shareholders. The market eagerly awaits the board's decisions on October 10, 2024, which could further reinforce TCS's commitment to delivering strong financial performance and rewarding its investors.
